Lake Waukomis is a fourth class city, surrounding a 90 acre lake, with a population of 990. We are located in Platte County, May Township, the 9th precinct, the 6th Congressional District and the 32nd District for the State of Missouri.
We are governed by a Board of Aldermen, which meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7 PM. You are invited to attend this open meeting and your suggestions are always welcome.

Real Estate & Personal Property Tax
Billed by the Platte County Collector, included in the Platte County Tax billing. Billed in November and due by December 31st every calendar year.

Pet Licenses:
Dogs and cats must have current rabies shot. Two adult animals are allowed by ordinance.

Boat & Motor License
Boats with motors must be a minimum of 12 feet long and a maximum of 16 feet long. All other boats, other than pontoon & deck boats, may be no more than 16 feet long.
All motors used in connection with watercraft shall not be in excess of the eight (8) horsepower class, with the exception of motors used on pontoon boats and deck boats. Motors used on pontoon boats and deck boats may not be in excess of the ten (10) horsepower class. All motors shall have the license affixed on the cowl in a prominent place, visible at all times for inspection.

Golf Carts/UTV & Vehicle Stickers
A current city sticker is required for vehicles and golf carts at Lake Waukomis. Stickers must be renewed and displayed on the vehicles by January 31st of each calendar year.
Vehicle Stickers - $5 per vehicle annually
Golf Carts/UTV - $5 annually
Operator's of golf carts within the City limits of Lake Waukomis must have a valid Missouri operator's or chauffeur's license.
The number of passengers on a golf cart may not exceed the number of seats available on the cart, and no passenger may sit in the lap of the operator.
HOA Information
Lake Waukomis Association Assessments:
Billed June 10th and due August 1st of every calendar year. Delinquency penalty effective starting September 1st.
Dock Placement & Fees:
Docks and Watercraft are inspected annually by the Lake Waukomis Association Dock Committee. If not found to be in good repair, they will be tagged with a notice stating the area(s) needing repair. All docks, pontoons, and boats of all types must have block and lot number displayed.
$35 per year due on August 1st
$10 penalty per month late
Late payment penalties start September 1st
